SHARUKH KHAN & HIS LOVE AFFAIR WITH KINDLE

Here's Shahrukh reading a normal book but below you can see the picture of what Kindle looks like!Beware you may like Kindle and be forced to buy it redering you pennyless!!
'Reading maketh a man'. It is a wise old saying, that in the age of internet and cell phones has taken a backseat, and gone are the days when people of all ages could be seen immersed in their books, at the slightest hint of free time at hand. However, it appears that Shahrukh Khan is going to change all that and will soon make reading a fashion statement once again.

As most of his fans will know, SRK loves books and is a very keen and avid reader. But what they may not know is that in order to escape the problems of carrying heavy books with him while travelling, he has got himself a very sophisticated Kindle.

So, what is a Kindle? It is actually an electronic book that can store up to 300 hardbacks at one go, and not only it is easy to carry and manage, it does not require much maintenance. Moreover, whenever SRK is in the mood to read he just takes out his portable kindle and indulges in his favourite leisure act, reading.

A cool hobby indeed, one which his fans and others too should emulate and make the world a better place.

King Of Pop Micheal Jackson Dead

Ok This is not exactly bollywood But,Micheal Jackson is above and all the biggest superstar the world could have had .Just like there can never be another Amitabh Bachchan or another Shah Rukh Khan , there can never be another Micheal Jackson!

King of Pop is dead but his legacy will will on ......forever.......

Tributes have been pouring in for pop singer Michael Jackson who died yesterday following a suspected cardiac arrest in his Bel-Air home.

The 13-time Grammy award winner Jackson was pronounced dead at 10.26 p.m. Irish time after arriving at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in full cardiac arrest, said Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Coroner's office.

The cause of death is not known and an autopsy is likely to take place later today, Mr Corral said.

Jackson was taken ill at home and his personal physician tried to resuscitate him but could not, his brother Jermaine told reporters. Jackson was taken by paramedics to the hospital, where doctors worked for more than an hour to try to revive him before pronouncing him dead, the brother said.

Jackson (50) became a musical icon performing with The Jackson 5, when he was just six years of age. By the time he was 11, he’d graduated from standing at the back playing the tambourine and bongos to fronting the group’s debut Motown single I Want You Back . It went to number one and Jackson’s haul of blockbuster hits begun.

But it was 1983’s Thriller which was the singer’s tour-de-force. It sold like no other album before it, amassing 60 million sales and seeing seven of the album’s nine tracks released as singles.

The next year, he unveiled his signature “moonwalk” dance move while performing Billie Jean during an NBC special.

In recent years, controversy continued to dominate his life. A 2003 television documentary, Living with Michael Jackson , claimed that Jackson still had sleepovers with young boys and had his third child with a surrogate mother, but Jackson denied these charges.

Concerns about his health had been rampant during his 2005 trial in California on charges of child sex abuse at which he was acquitted and in 2008 when he was photographed in Las Vegas in a wheelchair for reasons that were never explained.

At the time of his death, Jackson was preparing to perform 50 concerts at London’s 02 Arena. The shows, which were due to begin on July 13, sold out within hours of going on sale. AEG Live said Jackson had passed a lengthy physical exam in early 2009, before the London concerts were announced.

"For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words. I've lost my little brother today, and part of my soul has gone with him," said Quincy Jones, who collaborated with Jackson on three of his best-selling albums, Off the Wall, Thriller and Bad .

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince Michael Jackson II.

Shah Rukh's Controversial Interview

Read the controversial interview published in Time N Style Magazine below which due to a typo and landed Shah Rukh in trouble.
The magazine has since then apologised for the error and corrected the typing error.
Point to be noted: Why members of MAC (Mumbai Aman Committee) were reading a magazine like Time N Style Luxury???

The Interview:WHAT’S IT LIKE TO GET UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH SHAH RUKH KHAN AND ASK HIM THE ZANIEST QUESTIONS? WHAT’S IT LIKE TO BE FATHER, SUPERSTAR, ACTOR AND DREAM GUY ALL ROLLED INTO ONE? THE BRAND AMBASSADOR OF TAG HEUER FIELDS SOME PRETTY UNNERVING QUESTIONS

“I was destined to higher studies or elite team sports but I chose to major in filmmaking. People say I now rule Bollywood, but the way I see it, I simply work hard on making endless opportunities to challenge and reinvent myself. A cross-over to Hollywood is not an option: I’d rather make a mark without losing my identity and my culture. My name is Shah Rukh Khan and I share TAG Heuer’s values.”
– Shah Rukh Khan on things in common with TAG Heuer

If your home was burning down, what would you save with your two hands?
My children — son Aryan and daughter Suhana.
You are no fan of …

Restaurants and eating out.

How much power have women got?
As much as they would like to wield… It’s just that they need to believe in themselves.Women are more powerful than men, I’m a true believer of that. But sometimes they don’t wield it because they feel it would be wrong. I think they should go out and wield the power.

From your Fairy Godmother you would ask for …
I would ask her to meet my daughter. She loves fairies.

The most impressive figure in history, according to you?
There are lots of them, some negative ones like Hitler. On the other hand there are nice ones like Napoleon, Winston Churchill and if I can call it history, then Prophet Mohammed and from recent times - Nelson Mandela. And also Gandhiji and Mother Teresa who are equally impressive.

What virtue should every man have?
The right thing to do, I think, is not use a modus operandi to make someone fall in love with you. Just be honest and go with it.

For one day I would like to be (Heidi Klum, George Bush, an Eskimo…)
No one else. The world wants to be me, so why should I want to be someone else?

What is your most favourite song ever?
‘Suzanna I’m crazy loving you’.

Which book made a deep impression on you and why?
I liked the plot and story of Shantaram. The Da Vinci Code is nice as well and so is Bourne Identity. I like fiction; of course Shantaram is not fiction, otherwise Nine Paths of Desire by an Iranian writer is another book that moved me.

Is there anything that angers you in this world?
Not any more, I don’t get angry about anything except when people let me down...like if somebody says I cannot do this. I like people who say I can’t and I don’t and I won’t... but I don’t like people who say they can, they will and then they don’t.

What are you made of? (Which incidentally happens to be the tagline of the brand
TAG Heuer!)
Lot of humour, lot of hard work, lot of perseverance and lot of fun. And I like to believe in lot of honesty.

You are since 2003, a member of the ‘TAG Heuer dream team of brand ambassadors’ with Tiger Woods, Maria Sharapova, Kimi Raikonnen, Lewis Hamilton and now Leonardo Di Caprio, just to mention a few… it must be something special: how do you feel in this role?
It’s very exciting. This brand chooses people around the world who’re not only achievers but perfectionists. Ihave seen Leonardo Di Caprio from Titanic, and also other movies before that — apart from being a handsome young man, he is also very intelligent. I saw and heard him speak at the Golden Globe awards. He knows what to say and speaks very intelligently.

Which watch do you generally wear? Do you connect with it as just an accessory or on a personal level?
Fortunately, I have enough TAG Heuer watches to match every mood and occasion. I wear the Carrera Tachymetre when I am relaxing or hanging out. I wear the Grand Carrera for slightly formal occasions. I like to wear my Monaco 69 SRK Limited Edition as well.

Which values of the brand do you share the most?
Sportiness and toughness.

NEWS REPORT:

A day after a police complaint was filed against him for 'hurting religious sentiments' in Islam, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh said Friday that his comments to a magazine were misinterpreted due to a 'writing error'.

Comments on Prophet Mohammad a writing error: Shah RukhThe First Information Report (FIR) was lodged by the Mumbai Aman Committee (MAC) at the Bandra police station here Thursday after they read in Time'N Style-Luxury that Shah Rukh had listed Prophet Mohammad as one of the most unimpressive personalities in history alongside Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill.

But Shah Rukh said it was a 'writing error' and that he had named the Prophet among the most impressive personalities in history.

'Obviously I think that there is no more important figure in history than Prophet Mohammad in the most positive way possible. Also, being a Muslim and standing up for the tenets of Islam is my most important agenda. If they (MAC) have seen my interviews on TV about Islam and Prophet Mohammad, they would know it's a writing error and not a thought or view that I believe in,' Shah Rukh told IANS in an SMS message.

'For all practical purposes, Prophet Mohammad is the most important positive figure in Islam,' he added.

A corrigendum from the magazine was also published across Mumbai newspapers Thursday wherein the magazine accepted the error.

The corrigendum stated: 'This is with reference to the interview with Shah Rukh Khan that featured in Time'N Style-Luxury Vol-1 issue: The answer to question 'According to you (Shah Rukh) who is the most impressive figure in history?' should have appeared as: 'There are lots of them. Some negative ones like Hitler. Then Napoleon, Winston Churchill were impressive.

' 'If I can call it history then most impressive, positive figure Prophet Mohammad and from recent times there are the nice ones like Nelson Mandela, Gandhiji and Mother Teresa.' This is a clarification and the error is deeply regretted.'

An official from the Bandra police station, however, confirmed that the FIR had not been withdrawn even after the corrigendum was published.

The actor has been booked under sections of the IPC for rape (376), criminal intimidation (506) and wrongful confinement (342) , police officials said.

The Oshiwara police on Sunday evening detained Ahuja for questioning.

The complainant told the police that she had come for domestic work to Ahuja's flat. The actor's wife was not at home. "He took me into his bedroom, gagged and raped me," the victim is believed to have said in the FIR. The incident took place between 3 pm and 5 pm on Sunday. After the complaint was registered, a police team went to Ahuja's flat and called him for inquiry, said an officer. Ahuja is married and is known for his roles in films like ‘Hazaroon Khwaishe, ‘Aish' and ‘Gangster'.

Mahesh Bhatt, who produced Gangster for Shiney Ahuja, said, "This is a body blow to me. I spoke to a top police official who told me that he was informed by his juniors at Oshiwara that Shiney claimed that he had sex with the consent of the maid. However, she has claimed that she was forced into it. The police officer added that they had to accept the woman's version. I had spoken to Shiney only yesterday. If he is found guilty of rape, we have to condemn him."

Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan unveiled Filmfare’s June issue on Tuesday, June 2, at Vie Lounge, Juhu, Mumbai. The two stars feature on the cover in a romantic pose under the tag line ‘Sexy Trendsetters.’

She accessorized with peep toe heels, croc leather clutch, a black strap watch in her left arm and chunky gold vintage jewelry - earrings, owl pendant, two bangles in her right arm and a white stone cocktail ring in her right hand index finger.

Priety Zinta's Dodgy Fashion

Preity Zinta loves to shop.

Bollywood's hottest heroine says she can spend "like crazy" when something catches her fancy. She does not, however, have a label fetish when it comes to picking up something she likes.

Only one thing we can't understand is that why she is such a big copycat!

What's wrong with the indian fashion designers that she has to copy the dresses from western ones. We are not lying the pictures say something .

Now what Priety Zinta has to says is contrary to what she is actually doing....You decide...

This is what Priety Zinta has to say about her fashion :

My favourite Indian designer: I really like Manish Malhotra's stuff.

Designers I dig abroad: I like Valentino and Roberto Cavalli. I like Calvin Klein. He has very straight-lined stuff.

Most of my shopping happens: Abroad. There are very few times I shop here mainly because, here, you are usually on outdoors [an outdoor shoot] or [in the] studios. Where do you have the time to shop? Usually, when you are on a holiday, you shop.

I even shopped at Shoppers' Stop once: I needed salwar-kameezes for a dance rehearsal. You can't wear track bottoms and do Indian dance. [Since] I had given all my old salwar-kameezes [away, I needed to buy new ones]. I just randomly shop.

I am not a label person: Whatever I like anywhere, I pick it up.

Fashion to me means: Whatever I feel comfortable in. I like to mix and match. I'll buy something from the street. I'll buy something from a fashion house.

Most expensive buy/bite: I had to attend this party instantly and I didn't have shoes. So I went and bought a pair of shoes worth 1,200 Euro [approximately Rs 67,405]. And let me show you [shows her leg which has two painful-looking shoe bite marks]… it has this bee-like thing across and it dug into my skin and gave me two little lines. And now I have got marks. I look at those shoes and go 'This is the most expensive bite of my life' [laughs].

That means Bollywood’s most influential folks will not get a chance to boogie-woogie and bond till August.

Karan Johar’s 37th birthday party at Hotel Four Seasons in Mumbai on May 25 is being called the bash of the year.Karan Johar’s birthday bash at a hotel in central Mumbai is the talk of the town.

A guest says, “There was a lot of bonding happening; and rightly so. After all Karan’s party was the last major do for the summer of 2009. Next, he and Shah Rukh leave for the US to shoot My Name Is Khan. They’ll be gone for two months. That means Bollywood’s most influential folks will not get a chance to boogie-woogie and bond till August.
More A-listers were spotted here than one could keep tabs of, but some details have made there way out of the venue. Obviously, an insider has been doing the talking...

Who Made it to Karan Johar's Birthday Party
Shah Rukh-Gauri, Abhishek-Aishwarya, Hrithik-Sussanne, Saif-Kareena, Karisma, Ranbir-Deepika, Imran-Avantika, Arjun Rampal-Mehr, Shahid Kapur, Rani, Farhan Akhtar, Tusshar, Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Vivek Oberoi, Lara Dutta, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia and many more.

Notably missing from Karan Johar's Birthday Party
Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Karan’s good friend Kajol. Some were away from Mumbai, while others were down with flu.

Dress code at Karan Johar's Birthday Party
Karan asked men to be in formal suits. Most guests obliged, though a few like Hrithik went casual. Most women were in tiny dresses. Like on most occasions, birthday boy Karan wore black.

Highlights of Karan Johar's Birthday Party
* Karan dragged Abhishek to Shah Rukh and the two ended up chatting for sometime, with Ash looking on. So is it the end of Khan-Bachchan cold war?

* Kareena and Ash were seen chatting and dancing. Pleasant surprise considering after Abhishek and Karisma’s engagement broke, Kareena had put a ban on all things Abhi.

* Riteish and Genelia came separately; Shahid and Vidya were seen leaving together.

* Shahid and Kareena made no effort to chat, while Ash made an effort and avoided Vivek Oberoi.

* Hrithik, Abhishek, Arjun and Farhan climbed on the bar counter and danced.

* The party ended in the wee hours of May 26.

Unfortunate event of Karan Johar's Birthday Party
It was unfortunate that Karan, while being a gracious host to his colleagues, extended no hospitality to the media which had turned up to cover the event. Angry with the ill treatment, most photographers banned the party and you missed seeing the photos.

Watch Salman Khan Promoting 10 Ka Dum

Salman Khan was affable and forthcoming at a Sony Entertainment Television press event to announce their new programming lineup for 10 Ka Dum late noon on May 21, at the ITC Grand Maratha.

The programming lineup includes a second season of Salman Khan hosted 10 Ka Dum. Salman’s presence at the event debunked recent media reports of differences between him and Sony.

Recently back from filming in London, Salman was peeved with reports that he had 'harassed' Sony because they had slashed his paycheck for the second season of 10 Ka Dum.

“You keep writing false stories and when there is no reaction, the falsehood continues. If you react, more will be written,” Salman said.

"I was given big money in the first season. But, now it is recession time. The reduction in my fees for the second stint is not as much as it is being reported," he added.

Salman played politically correct when baited by a scribe who commented that TV shows hosted by rival Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar had not done so well.

Salman said he felt sorry that Shah Rukh hasn’t yet committed to a second season of Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? because the show gave everyone on this planet a chance to fame. As for Akshay and his Khatron Ke Khiladi was concerned he said, “I just wish him luck and wish that his show rocks.”

Salman who invited a lot of his celebrity friends on the first season of 10 Ka Dum was asked if he would invite Shah Rukh Khan on the show this year.

“Shah Rukh is more than welcome and I reckon he’ll be lucky enough to join me on 10 Ka Dum,” he joked.

“In fact I would love to have stars like Govinda, Sunny- with his cute smile, Dharam Ji and Sanjay Dutt on 10 Ka Dum. These people make the show interesting. As for the female celebrities I wish Madhuri and Sridevi would join me some time.”

“Since Sony is handling the celebrity aspect of 10 Ka Dum, I am completely clueless about it.”

Asked why he did not vote despite campaigning for so many political candidates during the recent Lok Sabha elections, Salman’s unguarded candor was endearing.

“I have campaigned only for my friends. And many of the election statistics say that only 29% and 47% people have voted in several regions, which shows people’s attitude towards the voting system. Secondly during the elections I was busy shooting and don’t have any big money and ample time like the other celebrities to travel all the way to vote and return back. I don’t like doing all this kind of show business.”
